System Overview
The LumaWatt Pro Wireless Network is based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard and operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM spectrum. The chief concern
with deploying IEEE 802.15.4 networks is the potential impact on existing Wi-Fi deployments. Both Wi-Fi (802.11) and IEEE 802.15.4
have the IEEE 802 family of wireless standards in common and share the same radio spectrum. For an 802 standard to be approved, a
Co-existence Assurance document must be approved which ensures that the proposed standard will coexist with existing 802 standards
when operating at the same time. Figure 1 shows more details about the LumaWatt Pro Wireless Network setup.
