9. Verify the RS-232 and RS-485 Communication Ports are
set for the intended protocol:

The RS-232 and RS-485 data ports can be specified
with DNP3, 2179, or Modbus protocol. The protocol is
user-configured to either the RS-232 or RS-485 serial
ports via the ProView
TM
interface software.
