S E C T I O N 1 : I N T R O D U C T I O N
The purpose of this book is to provide instructions for
unpacking, storage, installation, operation and
maintenance of Type DHP-VR Vacuum Replacement
Circuit Breakers. They are horizontal draw out type
removable interrupting elements for use in existing DHP
Metal-Clad Switchgear. DHP-VR Circuit Breakers provide
reliable control, protection and performance, with ease of
handling and maintenance. Like ratings are
interchangeable with each other.

TYPE DHP-VR BREAKERS ARE PROTECTIVE
DEVICES, AS SUCH, THEY ARE MAXIMUM RATED
DEVICES. THEREFORE, THEY SHOULD NOT
UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BE APPLIED OUT-
SIDE THEIR NAMEPLATE RATINGS.
