Intended Use
•
The solar light is intended to be used for decorating outside
spaces. Its battery charges up in daylight via the solar panel.
This stored energy allows the LED to glow in the dark.

The article is designed for personal use only and is not in-
tended for commercial applications. The article should only
be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is
deemed to be improper. Store the instructions in a safe place.

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects
caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised at-
tempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
■
Attention: Danger of suffocation! Keep the packaging material
away from children and animals.
■
The article is
not
a toy! Keep children and animals away from
the article in order to prevent injuries.
■
Do not take the article apart (except to remove the battery prior
to disposal). Have any repairs done only by a specialist work-
shop or the customer service department.
■
If the battery has leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes and mu-
cous membranes to come into contact with the battery acid. If
you touch battery acid, rinse the affected sites with abundant
fresh water immediately and contact a doctor as soon as pos-
sible.
■
Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown into a fi re, immersed
in liquids or short-circuited.
■
Do not drop the article or subject it to heavy impacts.
■
The article must not be used if it shows obvious signs of dam-
age.
■
Never immerse the article in water or other liquids! It is only
protected against splashing.
■
During extreme weather conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or if the
article will not be used for a long time, switch it off and store it
in a dry place.
■
The solar light should not be placed near to other light sources
such as street lamps or other lamps so that the LED can be
switched on automatically.

Putting Into Operation
Before the LED can glow, the battery must be charged up
for approx. 6 to 8 hours.
1. Unpack the items supplied and remove all possible protective
fi lms (e.g. from the solar panel) and stickers. Check all parts for
possible transport damage. If you should fi nd transport dam-
age, contact the customer service department immediately.
2. Screw the extension rods (

) onto a ground spikes (

3. Place the LED lights (

) onto an extension rods (

4. Anchor the ground spikes (

) in the ground.
Position the solar lights in a place where they can receive
direct sunlight for as much of the day as possible (ideally in
an open area, not under trees etc.).
5. Fold out the solar units (

) and align them.
6. The On / Off switches are located on the bottom of the solar
units (

). Move the On / Off switches to the
ON
position to
switch on the solar units (
3
).
The batteries can now charge up in daylight. When darkness
sets in, the LEDs automatically switch on. When it gets light,
the LEDs switch off and the batteries are charged up via the
solar panel.
7. To switch them off, move the On / Off switches to the
OFF
posi-
tion.
Cleaning
Make sure that the solar panel is always clean so that the greatest
possible absorption of light is guaranteed. You should therefore
clean the solar panels with a damp cloth from time to time.
Do not
use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the
article!
These could damage the surface.

Disposal
The packaging material is recyclable. Dispose of the pack-
aging in an environmentally friendly manner and take it to
a recycling centre.
Dispose of the article in an environmentally friendly man-
ner. It should not be disposed of in the normal household
waste. Dispose of the article at a recycling centre for used
electrical and electronic devices. More information is avail-
able from your local authorities.
Rechargeable batteries should be removed before the ar-
ticle is disposed of and should be disposed of separately
from the article. To protect the environment, non-recharge-
able and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of
with normal household waste, but must be taken to suit-
able collection points. Note the relevant statutory regula-
tions governing the disposal of batteries!
Removing the Battery
Undo the screws on the bottom of the solar units using a cross-
head screwdriver and remove the battery compartment cover. You
can then carefully remove and dispose of the batteries.
