26 Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause Solution
Strap motion is not
smooth when
feeding or reversing.
•
Strap width
adjustment is not set
correctly for the width
of the strap.
•
Follow instructions in the
Adjustments section of this
user guide for Changing
Strap Width to adjust the
machine for the width of the
strap.
Strap does not
achieve a good
weld.
•
Temperature is not
set high enough.
• Not enough time is
provided to allow the
weld to cool.
•
Heater plate is not
moving smoothly.
•
Adjust the temperature
setting for a hotter weld.
• Adjust the cooling time
setting to allow the weld to
cool for a longer time.
•
Use the Jog button to step
through to see if the heater
plate is moving smoothly.
Machine cannot
feed.

• Machine needs to be
reset.
• Press the reset button to
make sure the machine is in
the initial position for
strapping.
Machine does not
function when the
strap is inserted into
the chute
•
Actuator (pictured
below) out of
adjustment.
•
Actuator not working.
•
Adjust the actuator to the
right position. (Pictured
below.)

Replace the actuator.
