2.1.3 Functional description
2.1.3.1 Presentation of G2 handportable
The second generation handportable is made up of a radio–logic module and a radio HAB
flex board containing the transmission, reception and logic functions required to set up a
communication in network mode, IDR mode and direct mode. It has an extended range of
accessories for pedestrian, fixed or mobile use. It operates according to the TETRAPOL
digital system and is used for both voice and data transmission.
2.1.3.2 Functional architecture
The G2 handportable contains the transmission/reception, logic and user/terminal functions
required to set up a radio communication with the PMR system. These functions are provided
by an interconnected board and module:
•
the radio–logic module contains the logic part and the radio part,
•
the HAB flex board manages the man–machine interface functions.
