10.5 if your Pursuit doesn’t operate
 Make certain the freewheel switch is set to the engaged position. See page 19.
 Make certain that the key switch is set to the on position.
 If the above procedures do not solve the problem, contact your authorized Motobility Wholesale provider or
service agent.
WARNING! Do not attempt electrical repairs. Consult a registered service provider or
your Motobility Wholesale authorized dealer.
Possible causes for the power module to overload:

Driving up a long, steep hill.
 Driving over a curb.
 Run-down battery pack.

Exceeding the maximum weight capacity of the Scooter.
As you operate your Pursuit , battery voltages go down, and battery current must rise to satisfy
the demands of the motor and of other electrical devices operating on your Scooter. This can cause
a heavy current draw that can overload the scooter power module.
Remedy:

Do not perform the above possible causes for the power module to overload?
 Recharge your Pursuit battery pack. See Battery Pack and Charging in this section of this manual.
 If the problem continues, have your authorized Motobility Wholesale provider load test the battery pack.

If the battery pack is good, the charger may be the problem. Consult your authorized Motobility Wholesale.

Restarting the Scooter
If as a result of a run-down battery pack or because of a temporary overload, the Scooter must be
restarted:
1.
Make certain that the key switch is set to the of position.
2.
Wait ten minutes or so for the motor control board to return to the normal operating
temperature range.
3.
Turn the key 90 degrees clockwise to turn on your Scooter's power. The LEDs on the
battery meter will light up, indicating that power is on. See figure 11 on page 20.
If the above procedures do not solve the problem, contact your authorized
Motobility Wholesale provider.
