5.4 Freewheel Mode
Your Pursuit is equipped with a freewheel lever that can set your Scooter in or out of freewheel
mode.

To disengage the parking brake and put your Scooter in freewheel mode:
Press the (1) symbol on the freewheel switch. See figure 9.
To engage the brake and take your Scooter out of freewheel mode: Press
the (0) symbol on the freewheel switch. See figure 9.
Pushing
the
Scooter
too
quickly
in
freewheel
will
cause
the
motor
to
act
as
a
generator
causing
the
Scooter
to
become
difficult
to
push.
Freewheel
slowly.
Never
sit
on
your
Pursuit
in
freewheel
mode.
Never
disengage
the
park
brake
while
you
are
operating
your
Pursuit
.
Always
make
certain
that
your
scooter
park
brake
is
engaged
before
inserting
the
key
into
the
key
switch
and
turning
it
to
the
on
position.
