ERROR FUNCTION / ERROR MESSAGES
The e-pill Med-Time XL has built-in functions for signalling failure in moving the
medication tray, low battery condition or if the dispenser is not resting in its normal
position (dispenser is left turned upside down).
If any error condition occurs, unlock the dispenser, remove any obstructions, remove the
batteries, and insert four fresh AA Alkaline batteries. Perform the diagnostic test as
described under TEST in Mode-B.
Rotational Error: If a rotational error condition occurs, the
loudspeaker is turned on
(the
alarm sounds continuously) and the display shows
ERROR
. This might be caused by an
obstruction between the body of the dispenser and the tray. Clear the obstruction, remove
and replace one battery to clear and reactivate Med-Time XL.
Low Battery: If a low battery condition occurs
LOWBATT
is displayed.
Upside Down: If the dispenser is lying upside down (during BEFORE and AFTER
interval), IT WILL NOT DISPENSE medications. A warning signal (constant alarm) is
sounded and the word
TILTED
is displayed. Reset by pressing Button 3. Check the
alignment of the medication tray.
