FAULT/ERROR FINDING
Several checks are included to protect the water heater and its environment. In case of error
condition, the error is displayed on the LCD panel (Table 6) and heat demands will be disabled.
Table 6
Fault/Error and error code
Cause
Solution
The Water heater does not
start up
by turning the
ON/OFF knob to ‘ON’ position.
( LCD is not ON )
- Lack of electricity.
- Check the electricity connections.
Valve circuit error.
No
(ON)
+
“key” icon (blink)
- During normal operation of ignition
controller, valve circuit is regularly
checked. This check has predictable
behavior and several steps. If check
fails, error will be set.
- When the error is resolved. Error will
disappear.
- If repeated, consult qualified service.
Line frequency error.
bF
(ON)
+
“key” icon (blink)
- If the line frequency out of standard
limits, line frequency error occurs.
-
The system stays in blocking condition
until line frequency is back to nominal
value.
Failure power supply
bU
(ON)
+
“key” icon (blink)
- Low Mains voltage (less than 160
VAC) will trigger this error.
- Anomaly disappears if mains voltage is
correct 30 seconds.
Failure power supply
bU
(blink)
+
“key” icon (ON)
- Low Mains voltage (less than 160
VAC) will trigger this error.
- Burner voltage is not correct after 5
ignition trial.
- Reset procedure is necessary.
- Anomaly disappears if mains voltage is
correct.
overtemperature
Ht
(ON)
+
“key” icon (blink)
- If the water temperature exceeds
70
o
C, over temperature occurs.
- Water heater will remain in this error
mode till water temperature drops into the
operating range.
- If repeated, consult qualified services.
Failure water temperature
sensor.
Pb
(ON)
+
“key” icon (blink)
- A relevant wiring cable may break off
or become separated from its
connection.
-
The system stays in blocking condition
until the water temperature sensor is
corrected
- If repeated, consult qualified service.
APS error.
AP
(ON)
+
“key” icon (blink)
- Insufficient flue draught.
- A relevant wiring cable may break off
or become separated from its
connection.
- Anomaly disappears if APS works
correctly within 10 minutes.
APS error.
AP
(blink)
+
“key” icon (ON)
- Insufficient flue draught.
- A relevant wiring cable may break off
or become separated from its
connection.
- If anomaly persistent for more of 10
minutes, reset procedure is necessary.
- If the lockout condition continues after
reset, consult qualified service.
Lockout over temperature
Lt
(blink)
+
“key” icon (ON)
- If the water temperature exceeds
85
o
C, over temperature occurs.
- Water heater will remain in this error
mode till water temperature drops into the
operating range.
- Reset procedure is necessary.
- If repeated, consult qualified services.
