17. Switch-controlled LED & Lamp

Series Connection

Press the switch (62). The LED (69) will light,
but the lamp (76) will not light. The voltage
drop across the LED (69) (at least 1.5 volts)
reduces the voltage across the lamp (76),
thus limiting the current flowing through the
lamp and preventing it from lighting.
