Split / Layer

Layer

The Layer mode of the piano allows you to select and play two different voices simultaneously in a
layer. This makes it easy to create exceptionally rich and thick tonal textures. The volume balance can
be set for the two voices.

Select the main voice.

Select a voice in the normal way. (see the 

SELECTING VOICE

section on page 14)

The default voice is  

4-2  STRINGS 2 

in the Layer mode.

Call up the Layer mode. 

To call up the layer mode, press the 

LAYER

button. Lamp lights and the layer is set on.

The pop-up displays for 5 seconds.

Select the layered voice.

While the pop-up display shows layer voice number, select a layer voice.
(see the 

SELECTING VOICE

section on page 14)

Select the split voice.

While the pop-up display shows split voice number, select a split voice.
(see the 

SELECTING VOICE

section on page 14)

ADJUSTING THE LAYERED VOICE VOLUME

Press and hold the 

LAYER 

button and adjust the level by using the

DATA UP

or 

DOWN

button.

ADJUSTING THE SPLIT VOICE VOLUME

Press and hold the 

SPLIT 

button and adjust the level by using the

DATA UP

or 

DOWN

button.

If you press both 

UP

and 

DOWN

Keys at the same time automatically return to the default volume (100).

☞

The range of volume is  0 ~ 100.

☞

Press and hold the button for continuous decrementing or incrementing. 

☞

If you press both 

UP

and 

DOWN

Keys at the same time, automatically return to the default volume (75).

Split

☞

To assign new split point, hold down the SPLIT button and press a key. (Default F3#, 34)

The Split mode of the piano allows you to select and play two different voices with your left and right
hands - For example, play bass with the left and piano with the right .

The default voice is  

6-1  ACOUST. BASS 

in the split mode.
