10.- TROUBLESHOOTING:
Before assuming that your transceiver is defective, perform the checks described in the following
table. If the problem persists, try to reset the transceiver because sometimes performing a reset, the
problems can be solved.
Problem
Cause/Possible solution
The transceiver doesn't turns on
when pressing on the power on
key.
- The battery pack is discharged. Replace with a fully charged battery
pack or proceed to charge the exhausted battery.
- The battery pack is not properly installed in the transceiver. Remove
and replace the battery pack in the transceiver.
The
battery
is
rapidly
exhausted.
- The battery pack life expires. Replace the battery pack with a new one
of the same characteristics as that supplied with the transceiver.
You can't talk or communicate
with other members of the
group.
- Make sure that you use the same CTCSS tone or DCS code as the
other members in your group.
- The other members of your group may we too far away. Make sure
you are within range of the other transceivers.
Other group communications
interfere in your group.
- Change the CTCSS/DTCS of your group. Be sure to change the
CTCSS/DCS on all transceivers in your group.
If after doing this checks, the transceiver still doesn't work properly, contact with the Authorized Technical
Service.
