Connecting the Unit to the Power Supply
You can power the unit by using one of the following power sources:
12-24VDC power supply (available for purchase as an accessory from DVTEL)
24VAC power supply (available for purchase as an accessory from DVTEL)
Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector (supplied by DVTEL with the equipment). DVTEL recommends
using the PoE injector to power the unit.
The following table lists the RJ-45 connector pin designations required for PoE powering mode.

To power to the unit using a power outlet
1.
When powering the unit from a power outlet, observe the following recommended AC adaptor
specifications:

Power Adaptor Input: 110-240VAC, 47-63Hz, 1A
o
Power Adaptor Output: 12-24VDC, 1A

Connect the 12-24VDC or 24VAC power supply output to the power input connector labeled
12-24/24V
on the back panel, using the supplied spring clamp connector. See Figure 3:

(page 3). For more information on how to use the spring clamp
connectors to connect the power leads, see Connecting Leads to a Spring Clamp Terminal Block
(page 19).

Connect the 12-24VDC or 24VAC power supply to the power outlet.
Warning:
1.
To prevent bodily injury or damage to the unit, use only properly rated and
approved power supplies and/or AC adaptors.
2.
Make sure that the power supply connection matches the positive and negative
polarity on the unit.

Make sure that the power supply matches the required specifications. Electrical
safety should always be observed.
