The DC 3800a is stable, tough and reliable and par-
ticularly suited to spot extraction where plenty and
easy dust is created. DC 3800a is suitable in many
different applications ie welding, grinding, sanding
and cleanup.
The DC 3800a is driven by 2 single phase, two stage
fans.
The extraction system functions with negative pres-
sure (vacuum) that draws the air through suction
casings/nozzles, hose system, separator and fi lter
system. Coarse separation of dust occurs in the units
cyclone which is a highly effi cient separator for larger
particulate. The fi ne dust is separated and contained
by the fi lter system. There is a jacket mounted at the
top of the fi lter cartridge protecting it from the dust
as it enters the cyclone from the hose. Reverse pulse
fi lter cleaning gives long fi lter life and a consistently
high suction capacity. The machine is equipped with
a HEPA fi lter.
Description
Operation
Connect the machine to a suitable power source ac-
cording to the specifi cation plate on the machine. If
the electrical cord on the machine becomes damaged
it should be replaced. Always start both motors with
the switches on the respective motor units.
The fi lter should be cleaned 1-2 times per day with
continuous running or if the machine is equipped with
a fi lter monitor, when this is in the red area.
Reverse pulse fi lter cleaning:
1. Start the machine.
2. Disconnect the hose from the suction casing.
3. Put the free end of the suction hose over the
left handle. Push it towards the stop plate.
4. Open the fi lter cleaning port with a quick
motion. Repeat three to six times.
5. Reconnect the hose to the suction casing.
6. If the fi lter condition meter reads green work
can continue, if in the red, pulse clean
again. If after several repetitions, the fi lter
condition still shows red the fi ne fi lter must
be changed.
