With cleaning and maintenance on the machine, the power
cable should be disconnected from the supply. Fluids should
not come into contact with the motor. When cleaning with
fl uids the motor should be covered to anoid contact.
Th
e fi ne fi lter should be changed at least once per year.
Use only original spare parts. Th
e microfi lter/HEPA fi lter,
should be changed every 300 running hours. Use breathing
protection during a fi lter change. Th
e operation should be
performed in a closed area. Used fi lters should be sealed in
a plastic sack and disposed of properly.
Check regularly that the electrical cable is not damaged.
Th
e DC 3800c/a should be performance tested at least once
per year because it may be used with hazardous materials.
Worn parts must be replaced. Never compromise the func-
tion of the DC 3800c/a, use only original spare parts.
For vacuum motor the typical average life of the original
brushes is 600 - 700 hours. Th
ey can then be exchanged
or complete motor/fan replaced. For 2nd brush set life is
ca. 400 hours and for 3rd brush set ca. 300 hours. After
that the commutator is worn out and the motor needs to
be replaced.
