• Reposition the medicine
cup, tray, power unit (lock-
ing securely), and water
tank in the base.
Special Maintenance —
Heating Element
• If the output drops, or if
the REFILL light illuminates
while there is water in the
tank (DH-911, DH-912),
scale buildup needs to be
removed from the heating
element.
• The heating element is
located on the bottom of
the Mist Chamber. To
access it, pull out the lock-
ing knob and lift the Mist
Chamber directly up off the
base. Turn it over.
BE SURE YOU TURN
OFF AND UNPLUG
THE UNIT AND ALLOW
THE HUMIDIFIER TO
COOL SUFFICIENTLY
BEFORE CLEANING THE
HEATING ELEMENT.
• Use a non-metallic brush
or a dry, soft cloth to wipe
the outer surfaces.
•
DO NOT
clean the heat-
ing element under running
water. Doing so may cause
damage or personal injury.
How often you perform this
special maintenance
depends upon the hardness
of your water and how
quickly mineral deposits
form on the interior surfaces
of the humidifier.
END-OF-SEASON
CARE AND STORAGE
• Follow weekly CLEAN-
ING instructions at end of
humidification season or
when humidifier will not be
used for at least one week
or more.
• Let humidifier dry com-
pletely before storing. Do
not store with water inside
the reservoir base or water
tank.
• Pack the unit in its origi-
nal carton and store in a
cool, dry location.
• Remember to clean the
humidifier at the start of
the next humidification sea-
son.
