Important

Do not rev up the engine when it is cold. Allow

some time for oil to be heated and reach all points

that need lubricating.

Attention

Keeping the engine running for too long with

the vehicle stationary can cause damage because of

overheating due to insufficient cooling. Do not keep

the engine on unnecessarily while the vehicle is

stationary. Move off with the motorcycle

immediately after starting the engine.
The red oil pressure warning light (4, Fig 75) should

go out a few seconds after the engine has started.

The engine will shut off by turning the red button (1)

on the handlebar to RUN OFF. To turn on the "Hands

free" system and all electronic onboard systems,

refer to "Hands Free System” Chapter.
