Using the XGPS10M
• The computer will return to the Bluetooth
window and show the XGPS10M in the list of
devices. At this point, pairing is completed.
However, the device status will be
Not Con-
nected
and the blue light on the XGPS10M will
continue to blink. This is normal. As soon you
open an application on the computer which ac-
cesses the GPS, the device status will automati-
cally change to
Connected
,
and the blue light on
the XGPS10M will stop blinking.
If you need additional help connecting the XG-
PS10M to your device, please contact customer
service ([email protected] or 866-382-5476). How-
ever, due to the enormous number and variety of
available devices, you may need to contact the
manufacturer of your device for additional instruc-
tions.
Once the XGPS10M is paired with your device,
you can begin using apps that utilize GPS infor-
mation.
The XGPS10M includes a non-slip pad for use on
a boat or other vehicle. Slide the XGPS10M into
the pad to secure it, making sure that the lip of the
pad seals over the top edges of the XGPS10M.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If the blue light on the XG-
PS10M is flashing for more than 10 minutes, the
GPS will automatically go to sleep in order to save
battery power. So if you take your tablet/smart-
phone beyond Bluetooth range, the XGPS10M will
shut off after 10 minutes. Additionally, if you are
using the XGPS10M with an Android or Windows
device, and you do not open a GPS-enabled app
within 10 minutes of turning on the XGPS10M, the
GPS will also shut off.
