Once the XGPS10M is paired with your device,
you can immediately begin using apps that utilize
GPS information.
NOTE: If your device requests a code to con-
nect during the pairing process, use “0000” or
“1234”.
(NOTE: these instructions were written using iOS
version 8 and may be different if you are using a
different version of the iOS.)
• Make sure the mode switch on the XGPS10M
is positioned to the right (for more information,
see
Setup
).
• On the iPod/iPad/iPhone, go to:
Settings->Bluetooth
and turn on Bluetooth. The device will automati-
cally begin looking for the XGPS10M.
• Turn on the XGPS10M. The blue Bluetooth
status light on the XGPS10M will begin to blink
slowly.
• After a few seconds, the XGPS10M will appear
as
XGPS10M-xxxxxx
in the list of “OTHER
DEVICES” on the iPad/iPhone/iPod screen.
(The last 6 digits “
xxxxxx
”
are part of the
XGPS10M serial number and will be different for
each unit.)
• Tap
XGPS10M-xxxxxx
in the list of devices
to connect to it.
• After approximately 10 seconds, the
XG-
PS10M-xxxxxx
name move will up into the
“MY DEVICES” list and the word
Connected
will appear beside the name. The blue LED on
