3. Installation of the WL2 card in the FLEX 868 receiver
Installation of the WL2 card must be preceded by the installation of the transitional antenna cable in the
receiver housing. Correct installation should be performed in accordance with the following points.
Step 1
:
Remove the receiver board from the housing.
Step 2
: Prepare the opening in the housing. Break out (e.g. with a screwdriver) the weakening in the upper
right corner (Fig. 2a).
Step 3
: Put the antenna cable through the hole with the washer and O-ring on (Fig. 2b-1).
Step 4
: Put the toothed washer and screw the nut onto the antenna socket protruding from the housing
(Fig. 2b-2).
Step 5
: Direct the connector at the end of the antenna cable to the right (Fig. 2b-3).
Step 6
: Tighten the nut on the fixing slot antenna with the power to guarantee stable positioning (Fig. 2c).
Too weak tightening of the nut may cause leakage in the housing and incorrect positioning of the antenna
cable.
Step 7
: Fix the receiver board in the housing.
Step 8
: Attach the end of the transitional antenna cable to the U.FL antenna socket on the WL2 card
(Fig. 1), paying attention to the correct placement of the antenna cable (Fig. 2d).
Step 9
: Install the WL2 card on the FLEX868 receiver board in the 36-pin socket with the Wi-Fi description.
Step 10
: Install the antenna (Fig. 2e).
