Chapter 4

4.4.9.7 SAVING A WAVE FILE

When you are satisfied with your recording, select

Save As

from the File menu or

click on the Save file button on the tool bar. This opens the Save As Sound File
dialog box.

Enter the name of the file and choose the drive and directory where you wish to save
it. You may wish to select the

Read Only

attribute to prevent accidental erasure or

recording over of the file. The proper file type is displayed depending on the format
of the file you are saving. If the file is uncompressed (you are using a PCM format)
and you wish to compress it at this point, click

Options

and choose a compression

algorithm. When you are done, click
