COMPONENT DESCRIPTION
Electronics Package
The Electronics are found in the Top and Center sections of the Smart and Adjacent Bollards.
The
Motor Drivers control the smart-side barrier and the remote-side barrier. These are
mounted in Center below the Tailgate Sensor boards. The Lane Power Cable connects to the
Motor Driver for the remote-side barrier.
Power and I/O connections are located under the Top Panel.
All other connections are pre-wired.
Sensors
The Tailgate Sensors are used to detect users moving through the lane. They detect direction of
user travel and isolate a tailgating user from a valid user. If beams are blocked for an extended
period an alarm will sound.
The
Presence Sensors detect users in the lane to prevent Barrier operation from contacting a
user present in the swing zone.
The
Breakover Switch detects a breakover state if the Barrier is forced.
Connection Boards
Power and I/O connections are made on boards located under the Top Cover.
Additional detail regarding these connectors is found in the Wiring section.
Barrier Panel
The standard Barrier is made of Clear Acrylic and is factory-installed on each Bollard.
