SAFETY NOTES (Limitations to Use)
The SnapDragon must only be used in accordance with the instructions in this manual.
The SnapDragon is unsuitable for use by anyone weighing over 40kgs. All children
using it must be supervised by an adult familiar with the SnapDragon at all times.
The child should be securely harnessed into the seat before the SnapDragon is
switched on. The lap belt or harness is adjustable, and should be adjusted to fit the
driver.
To avoid accidents due to other children playing with the controls, the switch at the back
of the servo unit should be turned off and the control cable to the seat should be left
disconnected when the SnapDragon is not in use.
In the case of heavy rain or other water hazards, the driver control box and attendant
control box (if fitted) should be protected with a waterproof cover such as a rain cape. If
the SnapDragon controls do get wet, dry out exposed parts at the first available
opportunity. Make sure that you turn off the power switch on the main servo unit while
you do this, to prevent accidental operation of controls.
The SnapDragon is customised for use only by the person or persons for whom it has
been supplied, and is not likely to be suitable for use by any other person.
Dragonmobility Ltd can accept no liability for damage to persons or property caused by
irresponsible or unreasonable use of the SnapDragon, including, but not limited to, use
which is contra-indicated in this manual.
SAFETY NOTES (Transportation in a Vehicle)
The Dragon is not suitable for transport in a vehicle only equipped with an ISO10542-2
(Four point) tie down system. For this reason there are no fixing points provided on the
Dragon for such a system and no attempt should be made to use a 'Four point' system
to restrain the Dragon. The test for ISO10542-2 is for a lighter wheelchair with no
suspension system and so is not applicable to the Dragon.
DragonMobility can provide a docking system suitable for use in a road vehicle fitted
with standard tracking by a qualified vehicle converter. This comprises of a steel bar to
restrain the chassis, a pair of clamps and webbing to disable the Elevator and secure
the seat and a lap and shoulder belt attached to the seat and a correctly installed high
point in the vehicle. The DragonMobility Docking System is configured for each Dragon
and the vehicle it is to be transported in; changes to either require reconfiguration of the
Docking System. The system has been tested to meet the requirements of ISO10542-5.
