Test Procedure
1.
Turn on the Suction On/Off switch. There may be an initial reading of up to 30 mmHg
on the suction gauge due to flow resistance of the hydrophobic filter and suction tub-
ing.
NOTE:
The filter and tubing resistance will not affect the desired maximum value that is set in
step 2 below. The pressure value on the suction gauge matches the actual pressure
value of the end of the catheter.
2.
Block the patient outlet of the suction bottle. Adjust the suction magnitude using the
Suction Min/Max control while viewing the suction level on the suction gauge. Adjust
the suction magnitude to the desired maximum suction pressure value.
3.
Turn off the Suction On/Off switch.
