Attaching the flame detector to the tilt mount
►
Illustration on the fold-out page (Figure C)
1. Place the flame detector with its cable entries pointing downwards
on the holding plate of the tilt mount (C-2).
2. Secure the flame detector to the tilt mount with the screw and a
spring washer using a 1/4“ hex key (C-3).
3. Secure the flame detector with the locking screws (C-4, C- 5) using
a 3/16“ hex key so that the flame detector can be wired.
3.3.4
Wiring the flame detector
For wiring, use color-coded conductors or suitable wire markings or
labels. 0.5 mm
2
to 3.5 mm
2
(12 to 20 AWG) wires may be used for site
wiring. The selection of wire gauge should be based on the number of
flame detectors used on the same line and the distance from the
control unit. For more information, please refer to the Technical
Manual.

Illustration on the fold-out page (Figure B)
1. Make sure that the system is disconnected from the mains.
2. Remove the back cover by removing the 3 screws using a 3/16“
hex key (B-1).
The terminal board is now revealed.
3. Pull the wires through the cable entry.
4. Connect the wires to the corresponding terminals (see chapter 7.2
on page 20) on the terminal board using a 2.5 mm flat screw
driver.
5. Connect the earth wire to the earth screw
using a 6 mm flat screw
driver (B-2). The flame detector must be well grounded.
6. Check the wiring. Improper wiring may damage the flame detector.
7. Check the wires for secure mechanical connection and press them
neatly against the terminal to prevent them from interfering while
closing the back cover.
8. Place and secure the back cover by screwing the 3 screws in the
cover bolts (B-1).
9. Perform a continuity test.

Mounting the weather cover
►
Illustration on the fold-out page (Figure D)
Fasten the weather cover to the flame detector with the spring
washers and screws using a 3/16“ hex key.
3.3.6
Orienting the flame detector
►
Illustration on the fold-out page (Figure C)
1. Release the locking screws (C-4, C- 5) using a 3/16“ hex key so
that the flame detector can be rotated.
2. Point the flame detector towards the protected area and make
certain that the view of the area is unobstructed.
3. Secure the flame detector in that position by tightening the locking
screws (C-4, C- 5) on the tilt mount using a 3/16“ hex key.
