Performing the measurement
The display shows:
"Analyzing"

Test result
After 5 to 25 seconds (depending on the
instrument temperature and the measured
concentration), the measuring result
appears on the display.
The value is shown with the respective
measuring unit.
The standard setting by the manufacturer is
mg/L (milligram ethanol per litre breath air).
4.4
Errors in delivering the breath sample
If the sampling volume is too low the display
shows:
"Insufficient Volume"
.
The horn sounds briefly and a red light
flashes.

To repeat press the
- button.
The instrument can be used again after
approx. four seconds.
When exhaling improperly, e.g. by abruptly
stopping to exhale or sucking at the end of
the sampling, the display shows:
"Blow Interruption"
A horn sounds briefly and the red lamp
flashes.
z
To repeat press the
- button. Time period until the instrument
is ready for measurement again: 4 to 30 seconds.
Further measurement
z
By pressing the
- button a new
measurement is prepared.
During the recovery period of the sensor
(see section 11 on page 34), the display
shows how much time is left until the
device is ready for use again.

Removing the mouthpiece
1. Pull the mouthpiece out of the
mouthpiece holder.
2. Dispose of the mouthpiece
according to the local
regulations.
