4.2 Carrying out a breath sample
A new mouthpiece must be inserted for each test subject.
Do not allow any high alcohol concentrations on the sensor, e.g.
by rinsing the mouth with a high proof alcohol shortly before the
measurement, as this will shorten the service life of the sensor.
1. Insert a new mouthpiece (order no. 83 25 250) in the mouthpiece
receptacle (see page 2).
2. Keep the button pressed for approx. 1 second until the startup
screen is displayed.
3. READY is displayed after approx. 4 seconds. The instrument is
ready to use.
4. Blow evenly and without interruptions into the mouthpiece.
Do not cover the outlet opening on the mouthpiece with your hand.
A continuous tone is sounded.
The test result is displayed after 3 to 25 seconds (depending on
the instrument temperature and the measured concentration).
Carry out another measurement

To prepare a new measurement, press the button briefly.
During the recovery time of the sensor (see "Technical data" on
page
10) is READY displayed.
