To remove diaphragm assembly
from shaft, secure shaft with soft
jaws (aluminum, plastic, or plywood)
to ensure the shaft is not damaged.
Using an adjustable wrench, remove
the diaphragm assembly from the
shaft.

Step 10
Inspect the diaphragm assembly for
wear, damage or chemical attack.
Replace any damaged components
with genuine Wilden parts for
reliable performance.

Remove outer piston and stud if
equipped. Inspect for wear and
replace if necessary.

Canadian Standards Association (CSA) configured pumps must be
electrically grounded using the grounding strap provided (Figure 1).
Improper grounding can cause improper and dangerous operation. To
properly attach the grounding strap to a CSA pump, identify the designated
grounding location on the muffler plate; using the provided self-tapping
screw and grounding wire, thread the grounding screw through the
grounding wire lug, into the muffler plate and tighten securely (Figure 2).
Completion of the pump grounding procedure must be done in accordance
with local codes, or in the absence of local codes, an industrial or nationally
recognized code having jurisdiction over the specified installation.
