The system drive (C:\ drive) is write-protected for system reliability. To make
permanent changes to the operating system, disk protection must be disabled
first (Disable Disk Protection and Reboot). After any changes are complete, disk
protection must be re-enabled (Enable Disk Protection and Reboot) for system
reliability. There is no ongoing backup of the system drive incorporated, so
leaving write protection disabled puts the system at a higher risk of complete
failure.
The Windows Explorer and Control Panel buttons open the Windows features of
that name. On exiting this window, any instances of Explorer will be closed.
The Backup Data button copies the entire Hydra directory structure to a backup
location. Backups are rotated between two locations and are only marked complete after
a successful backup. This will ensure that there will always be at least one good backup
of the configuration and job data at all times.
The Backup Data button manually backs up the Hydra directory. Selecting Restore
Data copies the last good backup to the Hydra directory. Selecting Restore Data before
creating backup data will result in a Windows system error. Care should be taken when
using this restore feature as all duplicate files from the backup will overwrite the current
files in the Hydra directory. Any changes made since the last backup will be lost.
The
(Flip Screen) button is used to rotate the user interface display 180°.
