1. How do I sync the phone with the computer? How do I back up the

1. Install the Microsoft ActiveSync

and Microsoft Office Outlook
®
applications from the
User’s CD. Please refer to sections 9. and 9. for detailed descriptions.
. Connect the USB cable to the phone and computer.
. After ActiveSync completes the synchronization, the contacts, calendar, tasks, and e-mail
will be synced from the phone to the personal computer.
If the information on the phone is accidentally deleted after the synchronization with the
computer is completed, you can use ActiveSync to sync the original information back onto your
phone. For configuring ActiveSync, please refer to the detailed descriptions in Chapter 9.
2. What should I do if the computer freezes or if I cannot connect to the
phone while using a USB cable connection?
Since Microsoft ActiveSync
®
utilizes the latest RNDIS transfer technology, it may conflict with
firewall or anti-virus software installed on your computer. You can try to correct this with the
following procedure:
From Start > Settings > Connection > USB to PC , unmark the “ Use Advanced Network
Feature ” checkbox.
Set ActiveSync as an exception in the firewall configuration options. For detailed information,
please refer to section 9.1.
