5.5.2 Downloading New Mail

This describes how to download new POP/IMAP e-mail via a connection to the Internet. After 

you download new e-mail to the phone, the e-mail will still be retained on the remote server. 

If you delete mail from the phone, the mail on the server will also be deleted during your next 

send/receive mail session. 

To reserve memory on your phone, it is recommended that you select the download days 

during 5.5.1 Configuring POP/IMAP mail, so that when mail expires it will automatically be 

removed from the phone and backed up on the server.
