Passport or Hotmail account, and click Sign In .
Signing in may take several minutes, depending on the
connection speed.
• To sign out, click Menu > Sign Out .
To add or delete contacts
• To add a contact, click Menu > Add Contact , and
follow the instructions on the screen.
• To delete a contact, select the contact and click Menu
> Delete Contact .
To send an instant message
1. Click the contact to whom you will send a message.
2. Enter your message in the text entry area at the bottom
of the screen, and click Send .
To quickly add common phrases, click Menu > My Text and select a
phrase in the list.
To block or unblock contacts
• To block a contact from seeing your status and sending
you messages, select the contact and click
Menu
>
Block .
• To unblock a contact, select the contact, and click
Menu > Unblock .
To change your own Messenger status
1. Click your own name at the top of the screen.
Your current status is indicated by a bullet point in the
displayed list.
2. Select a status (such as Out To Lunch) from the list.
To change your display name
1. Click Menu > Options .
2. In My display name , enter the name you want to
display to others in MSN Messenger.
3. Click Done .
