The unit may only be used for its intended
purpose. These units are intended exclusively
for the following purpose:
Draining condensate from compressed air,
compressors, air receivers, filters and
dryers.
Any other form of use or one going beyond
this shall be considered as inappropriate.
The manufacturer shall have no liability what-
soever for any damage incurred as a result.
Improper use or failure to follow guidelines will
void warranty.
Non-observance of the safety
instructions in this manual will
compromise the installed
safeguards
.
See Fig. 1-8
The inlet piping must have a clear dia-
meter (internal diameter) of at least
1
/
2
“ to
allow Air to vent back (
1
).
The inclination of the unit may not exceed
an angle of +/- 5° in both axis (
1/2
).
It is recommended that a ball valve be
installed between the inlet piping and the
condensate drain (
1/8
).
Do not connect two pressure vessels to
one condensate drain, it leads to functi-
onal problems with the unit. Ensure that
each pressure vessel has its own drain
(
3
).
The inlet piping may also be connected
horizontally by turning the connection
180° (
4
).
Condensate feed must not be interrupted
by any strainer since this would stop the
neccessary venting through the conden-
sate inlet piping (
5
).
During installation, ensure that no air traps
are formed in the piping (
6
).
Trapped air prevents the condensate
being purged from the drain.
Do not mount the condensate inlet as
shown in (
7
). This would result in a large
proportion of the condensate flowing past
the drain.
Example of piping to remove water from
source as illustrated on (
8
).
See Fig. 9-11
Slowly open the inlet to the condensate
drain. Make sure that no pressure
peaks occur.
Pressure peaks within the system
can damage the condensate drain
and upstream devices.
Power connection is made by inserting
the power plug into the power socket.
The condensate drain is ready for opera-
tion once pressure and electric power are
applied and the LED lights up continuous-
ly (
9
).
Connect a hose (internal diameter
5
/
16
”) to
the condensate drain and the outlet
adapter (
10
).
When the test-button is pressed, the unit
must audibly vent out condensate or air
(
11
).
