Warranty Terms and Conditions
Domus warrants that should a ceiling fan prove to be defective by reason only of faulty workmanship or material,
we will arrange for repair through a service agent within a reasonable time period. We are governed by availability
of our service agents, however, we will endeavour to rectify the problem as soon as possible. Domus reserves the
right to repair or replace a defective ceiling fan based on the following conditions:
1. Three (3) Year IN-HOME Warranty on the ceiling fan, and a One (1) Year IN-HOME Warranty on the remote control
and receiver. Globes, bulbs or lamps are not covered under Warranty.
2. The IN-HOME Warranty is valid in Australia only, with purchases made in Australia.
3. The Warranty is applicable to the original purchaser and shall not be transferable, negotiable or assignable to any
third party.
4. A copy of Installation Receipt, Proof of Purchase and Serial Number located with this Instruction Manual can be
presented to Domus if required.
5. The Warranty shall immediately cease and become void if the ceiling fan is found to have been tampered, modified,
Serial number defaced or removed, or repaired by an unauthorised person.
6. If the ceiling fan is found to be free of defects, and the ceiling fan is not working properly due to lack of maintenance,
or incorrect installation, Domus reserves the right to charge a service fee of $80.00 + GST to rectify the problem. All
service claims will require the customer to sign a disclaimer before work commences that agrees to this condition.
7. Any ceiling fan or defective parts which have been replaced will become the property of Domus.
8. For commercial usage, the Warranty will be a 1 Year On-Site Warranty.
9. Signals (ripple effect) through the mains, to signal off-peak devices by the electricity supplier may cause noise or
flickering of the light kit momentarily at certain times. This is not due to the fault of the ceiling fan or light kit and
cannot be covered under warranty.
10. Remote controls left outdoors may not operate properly due to moisture. This will not be covered under Warranty.
11. All Domus ceiling fans, unless otherwise specified, are not suitable for outdoor use and may encounter moisture
related problems affecting the operation or finish of the fan. This will not be covered by the Warranty.
12. Warranty period begins from date of purchase from an authorised Domus reseller. Serial numbers will verify batches
and removal or replacement of these serial numbers will void all Warranty. If a ceiling fan is replaced under our
three year IN-HOME Warranty, this Warranty will continue based on the initial date of purchase, therefore if a fan is
replaced after one year, the remaining Warranty period will be two years.
13. Warranty does not cover slight cosmetic imperfections or corrosion that occurs due to wear and tear.
14. Our Warranty and Instruction Manuals states that a fan must be installed in a location accessible for cleaning
and general maintenance by the end-user. If the ceiling fan is not accessible, that is, if the ceiling fan is installed
above 3M, the costs associated to service the fan with the hire of extension ladders and scaffolding must be
borne by the customer in the event of the service call. If installed in an inaccessible location, and not maintained
regularly, Domus may refuse the right to Warrant this fan based on those conditions.
15. Damage caused by incorrect installation, lightning, electrical surges, power supply fluctuations, liquid, water,
moisture, will not be covered under Warranty.
16. Any physically damaged ceiling fan after installation, including accidentals, or not maintained according to our
General Maintenance Instructions will not be covered under Warranty.
