Technical description
The solar charger offers the following functions:
• Microprocessor-controlled, temperature-compensated IU0U charging programs for various
battery types
• Auxiliary charging terminal for the starting battery with reduced charging voltage and current
• Buffer operation: Compliance with the charging characteristics even when the battery is
charged with consumers connected
• On-board mains suppression filter: Ensures parallel operation of the solar charger with other
charging sources, for example mains supply chargers or generators
• Automatic compensation of voltage loss caused by the charging cable length (house battery)
• Measurement output for electroblock (EBL): Enables showing the charging current of the house
battery on the vehicle’s electroblock when equipped with DT/LT display panels
• Terminal “AES/RE” (only MT 350 PP, MT 550 PP): Transfers excess solar power to small loads
or automatic energy selector (AES) capable refrigerators
• Output for remote displays LED I or LCD II
The solar charger has the following protective mechanisms:
• High voltage and low voltage protection
• Deep discharge and overcharge protection
• High temperature protection
