Visual inspection must be made before
every use.
Operation:
Check for visual and / or abnormal noi -
ses. Don't use the hoist in case of a
jamm ing of the chain. Listen for the
ratchet clicking and pay attention to any
jamming or malfunction. The clicking
sound of the pawl of the ratchet is nor-
mal during the raising of the load. If the
chain is jammed or is jumping, clean
and lubricate the chain. If any problem
is permanent return the hoist to the ser-
vice address mentioned under item
no. 10. Don't operate the hoist until all
problems are solved.
Load Chain:
Check all chain links in regard to bend-
ing, corroding, locking, stretching,
bending and especially to any wear.
Also the innerlink parts must be checked.
Replace the chain even if there is only
one link that fails any of the inspection.
If necessary lubricate the chain. A
failure of the load chain can occur if the
chain is not clean and lubricated.
Hooks:
Check hoists for wear and any damage,
if the safety latch does not fit to the
hook, replace the hook because of over-
loading. Check whether the hooks
swivel smoothly. Check the safety latch.
The hoist must be checked through an
authorized repair centre at least once a
year. Complete service history.
The hoist must be re-certified after 4
years in operation latest. Prior to
nism, it is necessary to apply the
following minimum loads:
DD-LB 025 25.5daN
DD-LB 050 30daN
DD-LB 075 35daN
DD-LB 150 38daN
DD-LB 300 50daN
DD-LB 600 51.5daN
DD-LB 075 53daN
Lifting load:
Ensure area is clear of people and
obstructions. Set selector lever (50) to
“UP“ position. Turn hand wheel (27)
clockwise to take up tension in the
chain. Start cranking operating lever
handle (22) to lift load.
Lowering load:
Ensure area is clear of people and
obstructions. Select lever (50) to
“DOWN“, start cranking lever handle
(22) to slowly lower load.
After use:
Remove any dirt from the chain and
lever hoist, inspect hooks, latches and
chain to ensure they are still opera-
tional. Suspend, unloaded in a dry,
clean storage area.
