6. lubricate the lever hoist periodi-
cally.
7. ensure hook safety latches are fitted
and are functioning correctly.
8. don't use any connectors to join
loadchain.
9. don't lift loads greater than the
capacity of the lever hoist. (pls refer to
“TECHNICAL DETAILS“ / point No. 10)
10. if using two lever hoists for one
load, select two lever hoists having the
rated capacity equal to or more than the
load.
11. don't use the chain as a sling / loop.
12. lift or pull the load with the chain +
hooks in the same plane.
13. ensure chain and hooks are not
twisted or have kinks, nicks or cracks.
14. don't hammer the chain and / or the
hook into place.
15. don't load on the tip of the hook.
16. do ensure the load is fully supported
in the throat of the hook.
17. don't support any load with the tip
of the hook.
18. protect the chain over sharp corners.
19. during operations always observe
the load.
20. ensure area is clear of people and
obstruction. Don't lift any load over
people.
21. always begin lifting slowly.
22. don't swing the load.
23. it's forbidden to stand on the sus-
pended load.
24. the suspended load must be always
observed.
25. don't weld on the lifted load.
26. don't use a chain as a welding
electrode.
27. don't use the lever hoist in case of
uncommon noise, jumping, jamming or
overloaded chain.
28. use the operating lever only. – never
with an additional extension piece.
29. after using make sure that the lever
hoist is secured to prevent unauthor -
ized use.
30. don't remove existing warning
labels.
31. don't clean the lever hoist with
water or with high pressure cleaner.
If using the lever hoist as lashing /
tensioner please observe the safety
regulations of EN 12195-3:2000.
