11 Operation
The device has two search modes: ALL METAL and DISC.
ALL METAL: Search for metals of any kind.
When the detector is powered on, the display shows SENS on the upper left and three target indicat-
ors (SILVER/COPPER, MID RANGE, and IRON). In this case, the search mode ALL METAL is active.
You can detect all kinds of metal in this mode.
DISC (Discrimination): Discard the detection of unwanted metals (elimination) by metal discrimina-
tion.
Press MODE to switch to DISC mode. A flashing arrow appears next to the first category.
Press + or - to select a category to be discriminated (eliminated).
After the arrow flashes three times, the selected category disappears in the display and is thus sorted
out. Metal that fall into this category is now no longer detected. To eliminate two categories at the
same time, you have to select the next one as soon as the first disappears.
If no category or arrow is flashing, SENS mode will activate automatically, and you can start adjusting
the sensitivity.
Press MODE twice to return to the DISC mode.
You can discriminate a maximum of two categories.

1. You need the following items:
