Troubleshooting
In case any of the problems or malfunctions described below occur while running your
device, first try to solve the problem with the troubleshooting instructions given here.
If the problem still persists then you have several options to get help from our
support-centre:

Fault/error Remedy/fix
• The display
remains dark when
switched-on
• Has the network adaptor been plugged in to the socket properly and has the voltage cable
been properly inserted in the DC IN-socket?
• The rechargeable battery could be used up - please recharge it.
• A protective mechanism for security could have possibly been activated. Temporarily disconnect
the adaptor from the network socket and re-connect thereafter.
• None or a very
weak sound signal
• Is the VOLUME set sufficiently high?
• Has an earphone been connected? That would mute the built-in speaker.
• The muting might have been activated. Press the MUTE button to reactivate the sound.
• Function via
remote control
does not work
• Check the correct po/- of the batteries in use.
• Empty battery. Replace with new battery.
• Hold the remote control in the direction of the device when it is in use.
• Do not use the remote control function when the distance between the two is more than 5
metres.
• Remove the possibly big hindrances between the remote control and the device, which can
possibly block the infrared rays.
• Unreliable
functioning of the
system, seems
erroneous
• Static charges can negatively affect the device. Disconnect from voltage and current supply
temporarily and then re-connect.
• Errors or
disturbance in the
DVB-T reception;
does not display a
clear picture
• The broadcasting power of the DVB-T Transmission is not everywhere consistent. The signal
strength is possibly not enough for the location of operation. Please contact your
DVB-T-provider for further information regarding local reception and related situations.
• Vary the antenna position; positioning near a window can also help.
• Should this not help, do consider acquiring an active antenna, i.e. with a built-in amplifier.
• In the case of usage of the device in a motor vehicle, the speed should not be more than
70 km/h respectively.
