4.1
Changing the dust fil-
ter bag
Change the dust filter bag when the filter bag change in-
dicator (Fig. 23) lights up and before prolonged storage
or shipping.
For hygienic reasons, change the dust filter bag at least
once every three months.
1.
Switch off the appliance and, pull the plug from the
mains socket,

2.
Unlock the suction tube and firmly pull it out of the ap-
pliance (Fig. 24).
3.
Unlatch the dust compartment cover (Fig. 25).
4.
Lift the dust compartment cover until it locks in the high-
est position and stays open by itself.
5.
Lift the dust compartment holder slightly towards the
back (Fig. 26).
6.
Pull the full dust filter bag carefully up and out of the ap-
pliance (Fig. 27).
7.
Take this opportunity to check the motor protection filter
as well (

).
8.
Remove any dust that may have collected in the dust
compartment.
9.
Push the new dust filter bag in the filter bag holder
(Fig. 27).
- When doing so, ensure that the arrow attached to the
dust filter bag is pointing down.
- Then push down the dust filter bag until it is on the
bottom edge of the dust bag holder.
ATTENTION:
Before changing the dust filter bag, switch off the appli-
ance and mind the notices at
Z
Chapter 3.4, ‘Switching

. In this
way you avoid dust destroying the appliance.
NOTE:
The dust filter bag can only
be changed when the suc-
tion tube has been taken out.
NOTE:
If the dust filter bag has a dust lock, close it before
removing the bag.
NOTE:
If you are sure that it does not contain any prohibited
waste material, you can dispose of the dust filter bag with
your normal domestic waste.
