The instruction leaflet belongs to the appliance
and must be kept in a safe place. If changing
owners, the leaflet must be surrendered to the
new owner.

surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming

place the heater directly below a fixed
socket outlet.

The heater must be placed a
minimum of 1metre from the wall.
The socket-outlet must be accessible at all times
to enable the mains plug to be disconnected as
quickly as possible.

the heater with anything during
operation and for a short time after it is shut down
as a risk of fire exists.
NB: Before connecting or operating the
appliance please ensure that you remove the
protective cover

DO NOT
use this heater with a programmer,
timer, separate remote-control system or any
other device that switches the heater on
automatically, since a fire risk exists if the heater
is covered or positioned incorrectly.
DO NOT
operate the heater with the mains lead
wrapped around the unit.
DO NOT
push any items through, obstruct or
cover the grille or the heater head.
WARNING:
In order to avoid a hazard due to
inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this
appliance must not be supplied through an
external switching device, such as a timer, or
connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on
and off by the utility.

If the mains lead of this appliance
is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience or knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the
appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without supervision.
Children of less than 3 years should be kept away
unless continuously supervised. Children aged
from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only
switch on/off the appliance provided that it has
been placed or installed in its intended normal
operating position and they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning the use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the

clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
CAUTION:
Some parts of this product can
become very hot during operation and cause
burns. Particular attention has to be given where
children and vulnerable people are present.
Switch off and allow to cool down for a sufficient
time before attempting to move, carry or clean
the appliance, hot surfaces so potential danger
of burns if handled during operation or before it
has cooled down fully.
Avoid use of an extension cord because the
extension cord may overheat and cause risk of
fire.

move the heater when connected to an
electrical supply and always wait for it to cool
down before storing away.
The heater should always be used on a stable,
flat horizontal surface where all the feet on the
base are in contact with the floor.
DO NOT
use this heater as a cloth/towel drier, a
sauna heater, a room heater or in a place of
animal propagating and raising.
The heater is intended for outdoor domestic use
only. It is not safe to use on a building site,
greenhouse, barn or stable especially where
flammable dust or fumes may be present.
Handle with care and avoid subjecting the
heater to major vibrations or heavy impacts as
this may damage the product and in particular
the element.

General
This heater is a 1,500 W radiant patio heater, using a
halogen heating element, with light. Site the heater outside
or in a large open area, it is not intended as a room heater,
and well away from any obstructions. It is shown assembled
in Fig 1, where the power switches are shown located
beneath the grille. One dark point may exist on the surface
of the heating element during the first few minutes after it is
turned on. This is normal and will not affect the performance
of the unit.
