2. Installation
The DigiHeat 8 can, in principle, be located
anywhere but remember that the radio signals have
to reach all receivers to be controlled. A central
location in the area where the receivers are located
is best. It may be necessary to test alternative
locations to ensure good reception.
The DigiHeat 8 can be either freestanding using the
enclosed table support or screwed to the wall using
the mounting holes in the rear panel.
The DigiHeat 8 can be powered by batteries (2 x
AAA 1.5 V) and/or an external power supply (12
VDC). The batteries last for around 2 years. Used in
combination with a power supply, the batteries will
provide better reliability in the event of a prolonged
power cut. A 12 V external power supply can be
connected to the DigiHeat 8 via the
+
and
-
contacts.
NB.
Ensure that the polarity is correct.
Rechargeable batteries must not be used.
To insert batteries or to fix the DigiHeat 8 to the wall,
you need to open the unit by removing the front
cover.
Ensure that the batteries are the right way round.
Then fit the front cover back on.
When the battery indicator
is shown in the display,
the batteries have to be replaced as soon as
possible. The battery indicator is also displayed when
only a 12 VDC supply is connected. All your
programme settings are retained while you change
the batteries (for around 1 minute).
3. Setting the clock
Set the mode selector to
.
Select the first day (1-7 at the right of the window)
using the
+
and
-
buttons. Confirm with OK. Repeat
the procedure to set the hour/minutes.

➌ ➍
When the unit has had no power supply (batteries or
12 VDC), the clock has to be reset. Set the mode
selector to
and reset the clock.

4. Configuration/test
Before the system can be used, the receivers to be
controlled by the DigiHeat 8 need to be configured.
Configuration ensures there is a unique link between
the DigiHeat 8 and the receivers.
Receivers:
The LED will be dark on a receiver that has not been
configured. Press the configuration button 3 sec on
all receivers in the relevant zone once. The green
lamp will flash and the receivers are ready for
configuration.
To reconfigure a receiver, hold the configuration
button down for 10 seconds to delete the old
configuration. Configuration must be repeated for
each zone (
1-8
) to be used. See also the receiver
user instructions.
