Using the CoPilot VL

®

The CoPilot VL

®

+ must be inspected for proper functioning

prior to every use. This is accomplished in the same manner
as you would with a traditional laryngoscope:

Check the Operational Status

Visually inspect the unit to ensure that it is free from
damage.

Open the blade portion of the video handle. In doing so,
the display, camera, LEDs and battery status indicator will
turn on.

While the device is powered on, you should check the
battery status indicator on the front of the display and
recharge if necessary.
