to set the option switch accord-
ing to the desired change in the OpSw table. The changes will take imme-
diate effect.
6. Press
“SAVE”
key
to save the Option Switch settings.
If you do not
save the settings the OpSw changes will not be saved when the unit is pow-
ered off
.
NOTE: Do not adjust Op Switches not listed
These option switches are reserved and changing them may cause problems
with your system.
Set OpSw 40 = Closed to reset the DCS52 to factory defaults.

10.0 Clearing the Locomotives with the Reset Button:
The Reset button can be found recessed on the back of the DCS52 between the
USB connector and the track power connector. You will need a small pin to
press the button. Pressing the reset button on the back of your unit will acti-
vate OpSw 36. All mobile decoder and consist info will be cleared.
11.0 Emergency Stop:
To stop
everything
on a powered layout immediately:
Press the
key to toggle off track power to the whole layout. This will stop
everything on the layout, without knowing what locomotive is on which throt-
tle, or the need to actively control the speed of any locomotive.
Do not turn Track Power off during a short circuit. Clear the short first.
