6. Use the number keys to enter the KEY code, if required
This allows a UT6 to join a Duplex network without plugging in.
7.1.4 Duplex settings Editor
If a UT6 is plugged into LocoNet, in the Utility Task menu screen press the
key. All UT6 throttles will show the Duplex Edit screen, allowing Duplex set-
ting modification.
1.
Follow the prompt scroll to select and modify the Duplex settings wanted
by using the knob and knob press down.
2. When complete press the key to write the new settings to the LocoNet
system.
3. A Key value 0000 turns OFF the joining pass-key# requirement.
8.0 Emergency Stop
To stop
everything
on a powered layout immediately:
Press the
key then the key to turn OFF track power to the whole layout.
This option will stop everything on the layout, without knowing what locomo-
tive is on which throttle, or the need to actively control the speed of any loco-
motive.
Do not turn Track Power off during a short circuit. Clear the short first.
To Emergency Stop the active knob controlling a locomotive
: Press and
hold down the key for about one second and the speed will go to zero and
the throttle will beep. Release the key.
Having Trouble Stopping?
If the deceleration CV value you set for a partic
-
ular loco is very large, this can make it look like the loco is not stopping on
command because the deceleration CV value is causing the loco to take a long
time to come to a stop. Emergency stop commands force an immediate stop
with no deceleration delays.
