Removal NOTE
Before the system is powered down, have the system
manager perform a system shutdown if needed.
To remove a failed or damaged memory motherboard (MMB):
Step Action Refer to Figure 7–21
1 Perform the system shutdown. –
2 Power down the unit. –
3 Remove the top cover. –
4 Remove the left side panel. –
5 Release the module guide catch
releases at the top and bottom of
the module.

6 Remove the MMB.

7 Remove all memory modules on a
