Summary
This section describes the controls and indicators on the IFP.
Controls
The following table lists and briefly explains the functions of the
controls on the IFP:

Run/standby
key
Switches the system between the run and the standby state
when the system is switched on.
In the standby state, the power supply supplies power only to
the IFP.

Halt key
Halts an OpenVMS or OSF/1 system, returning it to console
mode.

Speaker key
Confirms menu choices or exits from a menu. This key is
indicated by the SPK or <- symbols on the display.

F1 key
Scans the options of the function chosen using the F2 key.

F2 key
Chooses a function.
Indicators
The following table lists and briefly explains the functions of the
indicators on the IFP:

Run/standby
LED
A green LED indicates when the IFP is rec5 V from
the power supply or standby power supply.

SPS active
LED
A yellow LED indicates that the system is powered by the
standby power supply (SPS).

Battery low
LED
A yellow LED indicates that the battery is supplying an
insufficient voltage level for the proper operation of the
system.

HDU LED
A yellow LED indicates hard disk activity.
