Memory Configuration Guidelines
NOTE: Before you begin, create a SCU diskette using
Quick Launch. You must run the SCU after installing any
memory upgrade. This allows the server to recognize
the new memory configuration.
The memory configuration guidelines for
the
DIGITAL Server are as follows:
•
Each memory bank on the processor module must contain two SIMMs
which must be the same size and type.
•
Install memory starting at Bank 0, then Bank 1, then Bank 2, and Bank 3
last.
•
Add SIMMs in multiples of two to fill up a bank.
•
EDO and Fast-Page memory can be mixed by bank only.
