SETTING PRINT DELAY
Print delay is used to position a message on the
product at a location other than at the leading edge.
Access this parameter by pressing
on the
keypad.
NOTE: This parameter may be set when the unit
is either in the PRINTING or STOPPED Mode
To change the value use either
or
. The
range of values for this parameter is 1 to 255. Each
increment represents 16 columns, approximately
.050” (1.5mm). Therefore, a delay of 255 would
approximate 12.75” (323.85mm). Once a number is
chosen, press
to save the entry.
NOTE: THE DIMENSION INDICATED IS WHILE
PRINTING A PERFECT ASPECT RATIO
CHARACTER. WHEN PRINTING A
COMPRESSED OR EXPANDED CHARACTER
THE ACTUAL DIMENSIONAL NUMBER WILL BE
DIFFERENT BUT CAN BE ESTIMATED BASED ON THE 16 COLUMNS PER
COUNT.
NOTE: Setting the line speed first, then adjusting the print delay may prove
to be the best starting point
